Pasco among top 10 cities for low cost of living in 2019

Dec 31, 2019 | Real Estate

When you’re going to buy or sell a home, one of the things you’ll want to know is how your area is appraised. The home prices in your area play a major role in determining how much you will sell a home for or how much you’ll need to spend to move in.

One thing you can do to know how much a home is worth is start looking into the local economy. Ideally, you’ll live in a city with a high salary and low cost of living.

According to The Ascent, the Kennewick-Richland-Pasco area has been named in the top 10 cities for high incomes and low living costs. The area has actually seen speedy growth in home values as a result. Based in data from Zillow, home prices were up around 11% between 2018 and 2019. In 2020, those home values could see another rise of 9% or more. The prices are above the national average, but they’re below the prices in other areas of Washington, making the Tri-Cities area one to look at for buying or selling.

When there are contracts involved, you need to work with the right team as you sell or buy a home. For instance, you may have a home in mind that you’d like to buy but could be worried about problems that are hidden away. With a good inspection, review of the contract and support throughout the purchasing process, you have a better chance of getting a good home at a fair price.
